Who we are

Balea's Haus is an independent retailer based in Cairo, Egypt. We import and sell beauty and personal care products from Germany, South Korea and Türkiye. These terms apply to everything you buy from this store.

The products we sell

We are not the manufacturer of the brands we stock. Balea, Dontodent, ebelin, Langhaarmädchen, Batiste, The Ordinary and every other name on this site belong to their respective owners, and we sell their products as an independent retailer.

• Everything we list is genuine, sealed and in date. We check each shipment on arrival.
• Packaging is sourced internationally, so labels and ingredient lists may be printed in German, Korean or English rather than Arabic.
• Manufacturers occasionally change a formula or redesign a pack. What arrives may differ slightly from the photograph.
• Our range is small and stock moves. Listing a product is not a guarantee it is available.

Prices and payment

All prices are shown in Egyptian Pounds and include any applicable tax unless stated otherwise. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.

We accept cash on delivery anywhere in Egypt, and card payment at checkout. For cash on delivery, please have the amount ready when the courier arrives.

Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted once we confirm it and it ships. Until then we may decline or cancel an order — for example if an item turns out to be unavailable, if a price was listed in error, or if we cannot verify the delivery details.

Delivery times, costs and our free-delivery threshold are set out on the Shipping page, which forms part of these terms.

Returns and refunds

Your return rights and the condition items must be in are set out on the Returns & Exchanges page, which also forms part of these terms. For hygiene reasons, opened cosmetics and skincare cannot be returned.

Using the products safely

Cosmetics affect people differently. Please read the label before use and patch test anything new, particularly actives such as acids and retinoids.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. If you have a skin condition, a known allergy, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use. Stop using a product if it causes irritation.

This website

The text, photography and layout of this site belong to Balea's Haus. Brand names, logos and product images belong to their owners. Please do not copy our content for commercial use without asking.

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or uninterrupted.

Our responsibility

We are responsible for supplying products that are genuine, correctly described and in good condition. Where something goes wrong on our side, we will repair, replace or refund it.

We are not responsible for a reaction to a product used contrary to its label, for delays caused by the courier or by circumstances outside our control, or for any indirect loss. Nothing here removes rights you have under Egyptian consumer law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and any dispute falls to the Egyptian courts.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business changes. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date it last changed is shown at the top of this page.
